| Well, another year has gone by! Today is my birthday, and I spent it in West Virginia. I had a wonderful time, and hope to get to go back sometime soon! I hope everyone is well and happy!

| Hi! I don't even know how long it's been since I've been on Xanga! A long time, I know. I guess that is because I have been leading such a mundane life lately. I just read Stu's article on homelessness, which really touched me. He is a great writer, along with being a great son! I was fortunate to see him and Rainey Easter weekend, and Daniel is here now, even though I haven't seen him yet! I hope everyone is well and happy ~ Beth

| Well, it's been a long time since I have been on here. Since I started working a new job, I do not have access to any Blogs. I guess too many people in the past had spent too much time on the web. My computer at home is still on dial up, since I seem to have lost wireless. Not too much has been going on. I went to meet Stu and Rainey a few weeks ago in Asheville to celebrate Stu's birthday. Since Stu moved to Knoxville, we can meet in Asheville, and it takes us each about 1.75 hours. It was the first time I have seen them since Christmas, and it was a lot of fun. It was like going back in time, spending the day in West Asheville. Daniel is going to culinary school in Sarasota, FL. He has requested that everyone vote for his recipe in a cooking contest. If you'll just take a sec, go to:and give Daniel your vote! He would really love to win! I hope everyone is doing well, and having a nice autumn! | | |
| It has been a long time since I have written anything on my Xanga Site, and I just decided it is time to check in! Not a lot is going on in my life right now. I'm working in Hickory again, and the cost of gas is killing me! I haven't seen either of my boys since Christmas, and I really miss them. I received a nice picture of Stu and Rainey on the walking bridge in Chatanooga, and I thought it was really neat with the rainbow above them! I don't have any recent pics of Daniel, but he is coming here in 2 weeks. I am hoping that we will get to see Stu, either by going to TN, or him coming to NC. Well, that's about all for now. Tomorrow is my birthday, and it is also 3 of my friends' birthday, and some other friends are having a party for us with a band. I guess that will be fun, but I am SOOOOO tired!

| This is the story of "Chub the Pig." It is actually a dream I had which Stu told me to write on Xanga, because he got a laugh out of it. I have no idea exactly what made me have such a vivid dream, but it was one of those where you keep trying to go back to sleep in hopes that the dream continues! I had this great little pet pig named "Chub." Chub was a calico pig with soft, fluffy fur. He followed me all around the house, and when I sat down on the sofa, Chub hopped up and just curled right up to me. I could hear his little hooves clicking on the kitchen floor, and I realized I had no idea what little pigs ate. I decided that Chub would probably like some corn, so I opened a can of whole kernel corn (with a knife, go figure!), and poured it into a bowl. Chub gobbled up the corn, and then just nosed the bowl around and looked up at me. I figured he must be thirsty, so I rinsed out the bowl and filled it with water. Chub stuck his little snout in the bowl and commenced to make a terrible mess rooting around in the water. It was started to get dark, and I decided that Chub should sleep out on the porch (I don't even have a porch, but I did in the dream!). I walked out the door, and he followed right behind me. I quickly ran back inside, and he started tapping on the door with his little hoof. I opened the door to see what was wrong, and he came running in the door and ran right over to the sofa. He jumped up on the sofa, grabbed the blanket in his little mouth, and dragged it back across the living room to the door. I then realized that Chub wanted a soft bed to sleep on, under the park bench (on the porch I don't have!). Later in the dream, Chub and I were going through my cedar chest looking at different blankets to see which one would make the best bed for him, and he nosed the one he wanted. That was the end of the dream, but not of my precious thoughts of "Chub the Pig!" To the Readers: Anyone know where I could find a little pet pig like that??? | | |
